蘇我の戸建て住宅を、最大8名が滞在できるファミリー向け民泊として全面的に再構築しました。
既存空間はOSBボードや木目パネル、床材の不統一によって雑多な印象が強く、各室の明るさも不足していました。そこで構造の良さと広さを活かしながら、“滞在そのものが体験になる家”をテーマに、色彩・素材・照明・家具を一から整え直し、滞在体験そのものが向上するよう空間を再編集しています。
1階は家族全員が集まって過ごせる「コミュニケーションフロア」。
広いリビングには大型ソファとダイニングを配置し、窓面の抜けを活かして開放感を確保。壁・天井・家具のトーンを統一し、自然光と照明が柔らかく広がる明るい空間へ刷新。オレンジのチェアやグリーンのプラントで彩度を調整し、写真映えと落ち着きの両立を図っています。
さらに、押し入れのスペースに小型テントを設置し、子どもが喜ぶ小さな「秘密基地」スペースを新たに設置。テントを組み込んだ半個室のようなつくりで、親の目が届きつつも自分だけの空間として楽しめる設計にしています。
大人数が滞在する民泊において、家族それぞれが落ち着ける「居場所」をつくることを目的としたアプローチです。
2階には2つの寝室を用意し、それぞれ異なるカラーコンセプトでデザインし「質の高い睡眠と、安心して休める プライベートなエリア」として再構築しました。
ひとつはグリーンとナチュラルウッドで整え、大人も子どもも落ち着ける穏やかな空気感で複数名での宿泊にも対応できるレイアウトに調整しました。
もう一つはオレンジを基調にした明るい空間に、ファミリー向けの家具配置やベビーベッドを組み込み、小さな子ども連れの滞在がしやすい構成としています。
また朝の支度やテレワークなど多様なスタイルに対応できるドレッサー机も設置。
どちらの寝室も照明の色温度やカーテンの透け感を見直し、写真映えと快適性を両立させています。
全体を通して、戸建ての広さを最大限活かしながら「滞在時間が思い出になる家」を目指し、色のリズム・素材のメリハリ・世代別の居場所づくりを丁寧に組み合わせました。
蘇我エリアの落ち着いた住宅環境に調和しながら、旅行者に“家以上の快適さ”を提供する民泊として完成しています。
This detached house in Soga has been completely redesigned as a family-oriented vacation rental accommodating up to eight guests.
The original interiors had a cluttered appearance due to the mix of OSB boards, wood panels, and inconsistent flooring, as well as a lack of brightness in each room. To address this, we restructured the entire home around the concept of “a house where the stay itself becomes an experience,” refining the color palette, materials, lighting, and furniture from the ground up to elevate the overall guest experience.
On the first floor, we created a “communication floor” where families can gather and spend time together.
The spacious living room now features a large sofa and dining area, with an open layout that maximizes the connection to the windows and enhances the sense of space. By unifying the tones of the walls, ceiling, and furniture, the room now allows natural and ambient light to spread gently throughout. Accents such as orange chairs and green plants add balanced saturation, creating a space that feels both photogenic and calm.
We also transformed the built-in closet into a small “secret hideout” by installing a compact tent—an element designed especially for children. This semi-private nook allows kids to enjoy their own personal space while still remaining within view of adults, supporting the needs of larger family groups where each person requires a place to feel at ease.
The second floor houses two bedrooms, each designed with its own color concept to create a restful and private area for high-quality sleep.
One room features a combination of green and natural wood, establishing a serene atmosphere that accommodates both adults and children.
The other is built around a bright orange palette, with family-friendly furniture and a crib that make the space ideal for guests traveling with young children.
A vanity desk supports a range of daily routines—from morning preparation to remote work.
In both bedrooms, we adjusted curtain translucency and lighting temperature to achieve a balance between visual appeal and comfortable usability.
Throughout the entire home, the design approach focuses on creating “a house where time spent becomes a memorable part of the trip.”
By thoughtfully layering color rhythm, material contrast, and multi-generational usability, we created a space that fits naturally into the calm residential environment of Soga while offering travelers a level of comfort that goes beyond a typical home.
